On Drottningtorget in Malmö is the Sjöbergska Palace, built in 1893 by architect Alfred Arwidius. In this building I was asked to create a hair salon. A place where many personalities and age groups meet and basically I worked with four keywords; cosiness – functionality – humor and luxury. For me, as an architect, it is important not only to create interesting design, but also a functionally environment. This resulted in a hair salon with carefully matched colors that inspires and, at the same time, gives you a feeling of cosiness – with surprises waiting just around the corner.
